CLS 55 AMG Photoshoot!
A bit late with this update, been sick with the flu most of the week so not much time.
Anyway, so this is the first AMG I've ever been in - usually I aim a bit higher. I have to admit I came away a little disappointed after spending a few hours with this car. Sure it accelerates like crazy for such a heavy car, but there is no excitement in the way it does it.....not sure how to explain but its just a little "boring" for me. :bah:
It makes a great sound when you really give it some, but just cruising around town you couldn't tell you have a supercharged V8 under the hood......kinda cool I suppose. The interior is very nice and comfortable, but again lacking the flare and excitement of something Italian.
So in the end if I had ~$250K to spend on a car then the AMV8, 997, RS4, E60 M5 would all come before this - although I haven't been in the other cars to compare, but hopefully soon.

Thanks for the pictures Dingo! I on the other hand adore Mercedes-Benz's, especially the AMG counterparts, but everyone has their own taste in cars. Does the CLS55 cost $250k in Australia?? Anyways, I hope you feel better, and thanks again!

Yes, $249,400 is the base cost - then you add options and on-road costs. This is in Aussie dollars of course, so thats about $175K USD.

Remember I'm comparing it mainly to Ferraris and Lambos that I have been in, so maybe I'm being harsh......I haven't been in an M5 yet but that should happen soon and then I can give a fair comparison.
I have to admit my car would be more fun on some proper roads, the CLS55 is too big and heavy for fun in the corners for my taste. However for autobahn cruising I know I'd pick the German.

Very nice AMG, great pics Dingo, moving pic is my favorit After driving Scooby no wonder it feels to calm to you I'd take 997 too if I had to choose.

Very well done my friend! It's always so exciting to see what other ppl manage to photoshoot like it should! Actually even if Ferraris and such might be much better, I like "different" shoots like my XJR or this CLS :good:
And to be honest, the pics are so cool that I don't bother if the car is dull.. anyway we knew it already
This one is the new one on file for the next contest, and it's an absolutely killer IMO

Sorry to hear you were sick the last days , I missed your reply on my last post so I thought you're very busy!
Awesome photoshooting this time, perfect scenery (close to sunset ) and a nice car I like the design of the car but I for this price there are several other cars I would by first.

OMFG very impressive pics  The scenery on the pics is awesome and fits the car very well. If this is just a hobby of yours then i would really think about becoming a professional! The pics really look fantastic aswell as the car itself!
