cerious... the CCX silouette looks more convex then the CCR... also, the bumber is slightly more petruded; while the nose is slightly higher...which suggests that it possibly is slated for arival to USDOT regulations
i wonder why they didnt show this at LA/NAIAS if they are indeed bringing it state-side?

Las Vegas, NV Feb 6, 2006; Koenigsegg Automotive AB, the Swedish supercar manufacturer, of Sweden has named Exotic Cars, located in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, to be the first and only dealer in the United States for its exclusive supercars. A version of the world's fastest production car is now on display in the Exotic Cars Showroom at Caesars Las Vegas.
Koenigsegg is the manufacturer of the CCR, the fastest production car in the world, with a top speed of over 250 mph. The U.S. version, dubbed the CCX, will be unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show at the beginning of March 2006. The 806 HP, 2200 pound carbon fibre supercar goes 0 to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds, and runs the standing quarter mile in just 9 seconds at 146 mph.
"We couldn't be happier," said Richard Weisman, CEO of Exotic Cars. "In addition to being the fastest production car, it is also one of the most impressively engineered vehicles ever made."
Exotic Cars at Caesars Palace currently displays more than 40 vehicles with prices in excess of $1 million, including such exclusive lines as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Bentley. Thousands of people visit the two-story, 34,000-square-foot showroom each day.
Koenigsegg plans to deliver a limited number of cars during the first year, and orders are being taken on a first come, first served basis. The base price for this prestigious automobile is $650,000.

Oh sweet Christ. Koenigsegg in the US. My prayers are answered. Except for the prayer where I have enough money to afford one.

At least we hopefully can expect some American mags to test it so as we can see what the car can really do. The manufacturer's claims are a joke.
Can't wait for SA supertest.
It seems the Zonda F Roadster will get the 650hp "powerkit" standard.
In a couple of weeks, Italian supercar builder Pagani will unveil its newest model, the Roadster F. The 'F' is a tribute to the legendary Argentinean racecar driver Juan Manuel Fangio, who was to have been the namesake for Horacio Pagani's 'Fangio F1' supercars, ultimately renamed the 'Zonda' after Fangio's death.
According to Le Blog Auto, the Zonda Roadster F will get the uprated 650 hp version of the Mercedes Benz AMG V12 also used in the closed-top Zonda F Clubsport model. The regular version of the Zonda Roadster, with 555 hp, is already good for 0-62 mph in 3.7 sec, so the extra 95 hp should provide truly inspirational performance.
