Belgiums are just not so clever. At the end of last year, a Belgium minister signed a contract that the Belgium government would finance the whole grand prix of belgium till 2010. This means the government had to pay about 210 million euro's...

But the minister didn't understand english, so he signed something he didn't understand, now he aperently does understand and the race is off.

lol, I'm not here to defend our prime minister and I do not know exactly everything what happend round this matter. But what you said about: Belgians aren't so clever and can't understand english is purely bull shit.

How do you think he talked to Bush a while back? Do you think Bush speaks dutch perhaps?

We're one of the countries with the best language knowledge around. Ok, I suck at it, my spelling is pretty bad in no matter what language. But the belgian school system is one of the best.

Well he was pretty stupid to sign the contract in any case, if it's true.

It seems that F1 now has many problems. Hopefully, the actual racing will make up for the fact that many great grands prix have been cancelled/dropped from the calendar.

They don't need time, they need money, every time f1 is in Belgium, Spa a money problem of about 20 million euro's. That's the problem...

cause i felt like saying so... i don't like the guy at all, in his quest for money hes willing to make anything... last time spa was taken out from the calendar was cause they didn't let tobacco sponsors, same thing happened with canada, and bernies solution is, instead of keeping the classic races, go to third world countries where tobacco sponsors are permitted (so he can earn more money) and leave classic races out of the calendar... maybe its not the case right now...

everyone who is trying to burn Ecclestone is stupid, and didn't even read the actical posted.
