I love the paint on that Evo! Looks fantastic in black
That said, I prefer those cars with the rear wings. No use being a rally car for the road if you ditched the rally gear.

Sorry, I might of given off the impression that I took the pics myself. Someone posted them on my Nissan 240sx Club's message board. I wish I could take pics like that lol.

having wings on those cars is just as dumb as a wing on a civic.
why have one if your not racing?
does it have an advantage while spirited driving? if so, then yes i can understand having them.
but if not, i'd prefer to have them off the car.
looks cleaner.

I agree that they do look better without the wing but the Evo and STI wings actually create downforce and help handling at higher speeds. In fact, the larger rear wing and roof wing on the 06 STI is one of the most significant performance upgrades from the 05 model.

Brilliant pics!!!!!!!! Thanks.
The Suby looks sensational IMO, but then so do all of them.
Any chance of asking the guy who took them if he has high-res (especially of the first Suby shot).

Exactly - both the Lancer and the Impreza are cars where the wings really do their job... [/quote]
What they said.. Even on a FWD car a wing will create downforce which helps keeping that rear tyres on the ground but as you said only on racing cars.. Well on over to the Evo and Subaru well both wings and the Vortex thing above the rear window does make a great effect on the car handling and straight line performance the car at hight speed becomes not very stable with the help of the wing it does..

nothing more to add! Just to say that these pics are stunning, especially the black and white ones... Well done!
The contrats between the black Evo and the white Sub is really cool...
Thanks
