Dec 12: 996 GT3, GT3 RS, GT2, Gemballa, Sport Quattro...
Street sightings time, and what a blast it was that day (still back in April). It was definitely a Porsche 996 day!
Click any preview to be taken to the full 20 high-res pics update
Yes, because in Geneva, in a matter of a couple of hours, I got this nice GT3 Mk I
A sweet RS!
A mad GT2 from some Emirate
And a Gemballa GTR550 cabrio!
And to complete the update, some sightings from Lausanne, like this marvellous Sport Quattro at a new (back then) Audi dealer
The usual Arnage that can be spotted about everywhere in town
A 2.24 Racing
And an RS4 with those lovely BBS LM

The gemballa is not a cabrio tt ... Doesnt even look like a hardtop ...
The 2,24 racing is great ... and it must be really cheap ...
EDIT : Oh you missed the pic ... yoyu put a gt3 instead of the gemballa which is black in your page

the old quattro pics were a realy treat! That car's shapes are almost vulgar and in a way, it looks almost if not as raw as the countach. I love the looks of it.
You got some very interesting Porsche's. Man, what I wouldn't give for a GT3 or a GT2. I was just thinking, my boss had a silver GT2 a few years back, but I can't seem to find any of the pics of it on the office comp. I think the're stored somewhere in the office. I'll do my homework.
Thx fot the pics TT 8)

haha, talk about a definate porsche day For some reason, i find myself strangely attracted to that Maserati 2.24 racing? ive never heard of it before... but its looks are intriguing... similar to the Quattro in some ways.
i love the MKI GT3, a pure porsche in performance, and style, i love it... the gembella cabrio... as fast as it is, i just cant imagin wanting a cab in drag (fake coupe top)... a GT2 isnt exactly common either... nice shots TT

Well the 2.24 racing was a souped up 2.24, sportier, better performer. It was based on the 2.24 series I, right before the series II went into production, and the closer the 2.24 got to the Ghibli which followed afterward.
Ciril, do your homework, I just hope you won't stumble on the porn folder of every other ppl working there ops:

The RS4 looks damn nice with those BBS wheels and the Audi Quattro is simply amazing
The 996 Cabrio is really weird..... I hate convertible cars with hardtops !! :x And those wheels ( from Techart I think ) doesn't look very weel in this car....
The GT2 has a really weird ( and ugly ) color but the GT3 RS is beautiful, specially with those traffic signs behind

 What a load of nice 996's!!! Two of them I've never seen with my own eyes, and the other one I saw for the first time yesterday.....and you get them in one day. :x
I don't like the rear lights on the RS4, but the rest is perfect!
Thanks for the update, another drool fest.

A very interesting update. I never knew there was a racing version of the 224. How can you tell the difference between a normal 224 and a racing?
I really like the colour of the mkI GT3. But the star of this show is the short wheelbase Quattro, a damn rare car!

Thank you infinitely TT for those awesome Sport quattro pictures !!! :good:
The B5 RS4 with BBS LM wheels is really cool, but I don't like the rear lights.
Without forgetting those beautiful GT2 and GT3 RS pictures.
Thanks again buddy !

Well, visually the changes are VERY limited. I have a doubt but I think all the "Racing" where red (really not sure). Biggest mods are under the bonnet, and impossible to spot. A total of 250 Series II were produced, not sure how many were Racing. Basically either you find a way to find out, either you can't be 100% sure. The Racing came at the end of series I, prefiguring the Ghibli with a 40 hp power increase, but on it the serie II was then based, visually, wheels included... I was told by a guy from the garage that was a Racing, but don't really have any tangible proof
