A bit late in my opinion but still great. I heard through a friend someone bought himself a Bentley Continental GT. The plates arent standard Philippine ones. I'm guessing the dealer wanted to make appear it came from a european dealer.

It's indeed a temporary German plate, maybe just because the car had to travel on its own for a while before emabarking a plane or boat :bah:

I hope it will be spotted driving around and won't be a garage queen!

My exact same thought. I could imagine it getting stranded on a speed hump designed to make rice rockets crunch. I heard of a story where in a Ferrari owner had to call a towing company to pick up his car from a speed bump a few blocks aways from my house.

For those who're curious the normal price of imports are twice the manufacturer's sticker price due to customs, taxes, etc.

$440,000 x 2 = $880,000 x P53.90 = 47.432M philippine pesos

The Modena I road has to do S turn to avoid a crunch what more a CGT.

Damn Straight... the percentages change an awful lot more then (some) people realize.
sure only 5% hold 95% of the nations wealth... (the Gates/ Waltons/Stewarts of the world) but the remaining 5% is simply a HUGE vast quantity

its in that 5% that amazing distrabution of wealth occurs.... many of which can buy things like a CGT (why do you think Porsche is on the books to make 1500 of them? they gather at least 1500 people have the goods nessisary, and the want of their car to build them... let alone the 'competitors' 1500 SLR's (i think) 4000 FGT's, all the Bently's selling/ Maybachs being delivered...

theres a reason why the US gets the bulk of the sales

There's a cache of great cars over here though most end up being fortified into their owner's houses because of the bad roads & unwanted attention from kidnappers & government. Not to mention the local press would savage anyone with an overly expensive auto by saying that owning was "immoral" for buying one. Fuck em I say, enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Rumor has it someone here has a McLaren F1 but that's been repeated for a few years with nothing tangible.

I am wearing a pair of Phillipino made shoes.. no doubt made by a 12 year old sweat shop worker making 50c a week .. while I drive in a car assembled by workers who make about $1500.00 a week - conservatively I would guess...

Thanks for the purchase RC! I didnt think you had it in you to support child labor camps. 50c would be considered overpaying already but I guess the shoe makers are generous.

I believe Nike has a plant in the former US naval/air base up north though I would be careful as there has been reports that the US military buried toxic & nuclear waste before they left 15 years ago. Things like that tend to leak.
