Default A Few Pics - New Orleans

I was recently back in New Orleans for a bit, and I took some pictures of the damage caused by hurricane Katrina. I hope this qualifies as "What You Saw Today"

First are some before and after pictures:

Under construction before Katrina hit:

Here are some cars I spotted:
Pick-up crushed by a tree:

BMW

C6 Corvette!

The storm deposited many boats up on land:

These two boats are balanced against each other...

That brown line in the first pic is where the water came up to, and stayed for several weeks:

An S600 I spotted:

at least there is still things standing in NO. Holly Beach is GONE! My coworker's family had a camp there. 100% wiped out. Rita picked up slabs of concrete and redeposited them about 100 feet away

Wow that brown line is absolutely astonishing - just crazy. The whole place just looks like a shantytown now, quite sad. But hey, did that Corvette get owned or what?

I was there all last week; most of those pics are from this last Saturday, while a few are from a couple weeks before.
