lexan?? They are usually very easy to get scratches on.........
Rice?? I don't know, I actually thinks it looks quite cool, but since it will not be pratical (as mention on the scratches), IMO, still RICE!!

Transparent spinners? Wouldn't that be like "The Emperor's New Clothes" type of thing. Honestly, they're there! Let's market that! I'm sure SOMEONE out there would be willing to buy it.

The thing that I would be worried about is the fact that these are a type of ceramic. Granted they're incredibly strong, but they don't bend or give, when they fail, they fail catastrophically. If there is any sort of nick in them, a crack will propogate along that very quickly causing major failure, whereas, if you had steel or aluminum or some other metal, they would bend and have some sort of give. These, it's all or nothing. I imagine they would scratch and nick fairly quickly, which would make me leery. I don't know, but that's just how I see it.

looks alright, but i have a hard time believing that they are 3x stronger than steel.
