lol..

Yes but ultimately its always the guy minding his own business who has to fix it...
But thats how you get noticed for promotion... at least thats what I tell myself after the project Im developing requires me to work extra hours because the user didn't give enough thought to the business process or they didn't adequately communicate between themselves.

Best of luck.

Aber mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut! 8)

(my German isnt that good)

No I shall spend the weekend applying for, ahem, 'other opportunities'.

What pisses me off is that I am 'worth' quite a bit to the right person or company, it is just finding that niche

Edit: At least I am putting my whinges in the right section of JW lol <nods wisely>

Sadly the twunts, runts, idiots, losers and general brown nosing shit-heads will ne the ones getting the promotions

They spend all their time aligning themselves to the politics of promotion while we all do the actual work to run the place - which they of course graciously take credit for

Good point.. Doesn't really matter for me anyway, if I don't move to India and learn Hindi by next year I have to change opportunities anyway (though perhaps internally).

I'm sure someone here could teach you german. Id volunteer but Im only a little less rusty.

Well, gray, you're a bright chap so I wouldn't worry about long-term prospects if I were you.

I'm not that worried, it's all about firing enough arrows; statistically you will hit the bullseye now and again, even if blindfolded

lol.. of course.. Even a broken clock is right once a day.

Nah... We'll both be fine, but it certainly does wonders for workplace moral to know your going to be replaced. Tieing back to the communications issues, about half the people at work seem to have quit doing their jobs altogether making my life that much more hectic. So I can relate, its like a study in motivational collapse over here. That being said.. even working tomorrow, the weekend is almost here!!!!
