Maybe we could start leaving the comments under the videos in the gallery with a rating...this will hopefully be the start of the JW video database

thanx, that was a great review. I was really surprised at how Jeremy praised it. It sounded amazing. I thought he'd be mocking it like he did to the 350Z but he actually liked it. thats amazing. lol

Very cool video. JC seemed to love the RX-8. Other than the radical looks he praised most everything about it. The rotor engine i think is sweet (Theoretically) but they seem to have very little low end torque( acceleration). Great auto anyway, show that the M3 really is just a name considering a Mazda and Nissan posted the same time as one. However the 'new' Stig really looked like he was fighting the RX-8 around the track, very contradictory to what JC told us .
Thanks for the vid Jabba

Ok, first off I've added a brief review along with my rating of the vid (a 10 ) in the photo database. I think this could be a nice way of doing the reviews as it gives a bit of visual reference as well as allowing for a polled score to be submitted. For now though, my full review goes here:
First off, I really like the RX-8; I think it is a car with many strengths and few weaknesses (*cough* torque) that is destined for greatness. I will make serious efforts to acquire one (or a WRX) once I am slighty less brokeass (tuition kills ya :shock .
With this in mind, I have eagerly anticipated its full debut on Top Gear (not that half-assed preview from last year). And JC certainly agrees it seems. Even he managed to get the car to powerslide semi-neatly, which is a wonder in itself . The fact that it sets a time equal to a 350Z and an M3 (albeit driven by old Stig) is just icing on the cake--I didn't realize it was that quick! (Certainly from its Best Motoring debut it doesn't seem that way--it in the end was beaten by the G35 Coupe, S2000, and WRX.) I have to admit it looked a bit rough going around the track, but whatever works I guess! All that remains is to see how well the thing holds together after a couple of years (hopefully it won't develop the problems that plagued the delicate FD RX-7). Awesome vid, thanks for the oppurtunity to watch it.

Thank jabba.I do anything that you start to post vids like this.I Don`t know what the problem is but i can`t extract your previous vids. Thanks again.About the vid.I still don`t like rx-8.For me a fast coupe should be very beautiful but this isn`t(some like jeremy say that it isn`t coupe either but for me it is)What is amazeing is the lap time, same as 350z and M3  .I think taht new stig is lot faster than old one(they should make a new list)Interior is very sweet.

Jazza's comments were not a very big surprise to me as I'm a keen fan of his weekly columns on Timesonline.

Oh nice, I didn't know that his weekly column was online... now I feel the urge to copy paste them all into a word doc Would take me some time... maybe later...
Thx for the url!
EDIT: just read the RX-8 article!! So fucking nice, it's incredible how he can make an article this funny and still say something usefull!! Now I just have to save them all to my HD!
About the RX-8: To quote from JC: It’s not ugly, and it’s certainly not plain. But it is messy.
My oppinion too, it looks a bit like a japaneze car, not the beautifull Italian styling lines... pitty!

Mazda RX8.
Clarkson really loves this car. I really love that 9000rpm redline and the fact that it maked 228 hp from a 1.3 rotary engine. The performance is good (the same time as a 350Z or an M3). The only thing is that the M3 was driven in the wet by the old Stig and this one has been driven in the dry. I like the RX8, but I'd rather have an M3 instead. Another advantage of this Mazda is the price (22.000 pounds).
Overall, this is a very good car, with practicality and sportyness.
