Makes no sence... DB9 and AMV8 just came out. They are extraordinary cars and they will go against the former Aston Martin british brand to that?

To me I don't like it, style over substance IMO, make the thing ludicrously fast IMO 3-400BHP would do far more worthwhile and appropriate for the wanna be bond's out there. All this isn't very "lotus"
But actually it would make sense if Bond went for a Lotus again, given the next film is supposed to be a back to basic film with less gadgets and all that. Don't know if they will, depends on the £££ I would think. Anyway i don't think they've even decided who is going to be the next bond, last i heard the lead from "Layer Cake" was in the running, although he may be to old.

Suppose that will do actually, though tuners get more power that out of the new mini's 1.6

I think its just a bit of hype to make people click the link, though as i said, it could make sense, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...17/ixhome.html
Alothough if it is a "prequel" almost as it seems it makes less sense, being presumably set in the past long before the elise who knows, i'm confused but i hope it will be better than die another day, I didn't think much of that :bah:

Super-sleuths listen-up, because Lotus and Saville Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes have teamed-up to create what they believe is the perfect car for the modern-day secret agent.
It's a suggestion on their part on what kind of car 007 would drive. It does not mean that this is the car that will be in the next film. Besides, anybody who has walked up to the car will know how small this car is? Could you imagine Bond pulling up to a casino in Monte Carlo and cooly getting out of the car? I bet it's awkward getting in and out of it.

I saw an interwiev with the director, the same who made 'Goldeneye' (I don´t remenber his name) that the car will be an Aston (didn´t tell the model) but he mentioned the fact 'cabrio'... a DB9 Volante maybe? Beside that I think there important facts Who will be the 'Bond girl'? and Mr. Bond himself? (Puff Dady no, please!)
