I forgot to buy the paper this morning, have to say i'm surprised, guess he hasn't still got the SL, havn't read through it yet t

**EDIT** well quite logical there from Mr Clarkson, i'm glad he hasn't given up on the GT and to have the SLK55 AMG as an everyday car!! how cool is that

I think he got rid of the SL a while back? And he still doesn't like the fact that the GT continues to act up on him.

hmmm...

Well, I hope he will have as trouble-free a time with his SLK as I've had with mine

22,000km's on the clock after nearly a year of ownership, and I'm still smiling

good to hear!, yeh he got rid of the SL before getting the GT and well i'm sure the ford will go arong again So long as Merceded have sorted their dealers here and paint/ corrosion problems i'm sure he'll love it Personal experience of mercedes dealers here has been terrible and its a shame they are producing some lovely cars recently IMO

Yeh but how many did he and the TG team manage to break between them?? Not much of an everyday car if part of it explodes every day

I was expecting this...he talked so warmly about the car and after selling the SL55 AMG I pressumed he would need a new every-day car. The way car companies rip customers off is shocking though. Just like with the Ferrari F430...the interior...it costs 320GBP to have the stitiching a different colour than the lever. WTF ?? It costs 320 pounds just for the person who does the sewing to pick up a different coloured thread?? Idiotic...

There were a few inconsistensies in what he said about the choice of color for the leather, etc...

You can, if you want, get any leather color with any exterior car color. There is no such thing as only being stuck with the red/black combo if you get a black car. That's bullsh1t and whoever the dealer was, got it wrong.

Great choise...

It's funny that alot of people slag MB for there customer service, in my experience they have been great!

Just last month i had to buy afew Vito vans and the sales cunsultant there was fantastic, helpfull and very easy to get along with, through in some color coated bumpers too...

But im sure MB will be extra nice to JC, he holds alot of sway...

BMW has hardly more problems than Mercedes. Mercedes quality reputations is hardly on the top either. Maybe he should buy a Lexus if he wants something reliable.

BTW SLK is a chickcar maybe JC is a transvestite.
