Default My trip out Off-Roading! **Vids & Pics**

Yes folks, its me again. i've been away for a while, and will be for some time as ive just been really busy recently. Back to school means loads more work, and less time on my hands to do other things.

I did however, have the time to get up on Sunday at 4 o'clock in the morning, and go with a good friend of mine to the seaside near a place called Whitby (Robin Hood's bay to be precise). You see, my mate has this little toy, which comes in the form of a Range Rover Bobtail that has been totaly stripped, fitted with a rollcage, racing seats, harnesses, a racing fuel tank, and most importantly, a 3.5l V8 engine with webber carbs and K&N filter, along with a straight through exhaust. In short, its fucking loud!

The event we went to was not just hooning around but a thing called trailing. Basically you have a curse set up and you have to go round the course, in between these little gates, that the car just fits through, most of which are positioned on the side of hills or on a daft angle. It sounds shit but it makes a really good spectator sport, ad its even more fun when your inside!

You can sort of see the before, during and after process via the mud!

All these pics were taken on my camera, and as i was in the car on every trial, there is no footage of me on the actual trial, however, my mates dad took his cam along, and i am waiting on those pics.

I did get my mate to send me one though:

Here is an mp3 recording of the beast at relatively low chat.

And a little vid of us messing about in the quarry area of the site for the first time.

I'll update with more pics later!

sounds quite similar to the Rock Crawling events held around the US. Off Roading seems to be gaining alot of popularity all over th country these days.

Looks like you had tons of fun

lmao, in all the pictures it looks realtively tame, but there are big fuck-off hills everywhere, that particular one was really short n sharp, and we had to get round this impossible corner to fit through the gates!

You should wait till you see the picture of me going down this near vertical hill! I can tell you i very nearly had to move it up to brown alert!

All good fun!

Thanks for the pics of this "unusual" event compared to the regular posts in this section.
Must be fun to drive I imagine
