actually the engine was being lifted on a bolt hole in the head and it took out the valve cover and timing cover as it took the bolt right out.

The engine has insane rod knock right now as we turned the crank to get to the converter bolts you could hear it slapping around in there and look at the intake ports and coolant passages on the head they are all fucked there was very little fluid of any kind still in the engine when we drained it and I did an oil change a few days earlier so I know there was stuff in it before.

When we pulled the plugs a few of them actually blew off the wires and the intake manifold gasket was shot. It resembles a nitrous mishap in some ways. I'm glad the new engine is forged internals but a fucking plastic intake manifold! FRPP Supercharger here I come (after the tranny is taken care of) I will be dabling in Nitrous very soon though since I can get a dry kit for 350 new from NX and once I've had my fun it will be going in the truck

Oh there will be pics of the tear down but I won't be doing it since I donated the engine to my school the engine rebuilding class will be doing it but I will take pics of it. I told my teacher to let me know when they do it so I can watch and if they don't do it I'll take the sucker down in 10 minutes easy.

well here is some new progress as of tonight I hope to be running by next week.

The one thing I am worried about is if that intake plenum is going to clear my hood...
