if his camera is anything like mine, it's impossible to take good shots in dark lighting, and doesn't have any options for manual focus and exposure times.
the pics look good in the thumbnails, though

But even with a really cheap cam you can take good pics in dark lighting using a tripod and long shutter times. It's not really the camera that makes pics looks great, it's the way you use it. Though a good camera can help, it's definitely no guarantee for good pics

hey take the boat over to us here in sweden, i saw 2 in one week last summer! and those 2 are still here! 
got them both on film to. there was 2 brothers who has one each!

I know that my pics rnt wonderful. My digital Camera SUCKS! I really want to get a new one, but dont know what to get. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions? I also want to keep the price low, and i would like for it to be rechargable.

I think the Canon G-series are a good deal. Being a huge Nikon fan, the Nikon coolpix series are very good as well and you can buy lots of accessories for those afterwards like filters and flashes if you ever need one, you never know. Take a look at www.nikon.com or www.dpreview.com
