News: Clarkson stars in new speed show (and return of Tiff)
Clarkson stars in new speed show
[05 November 2003]
Getting ready for the run-in to Christmas? Here's an idea - forget it, and get ready for the run-in to MPH'03 instead. Co-promoted by Top Gear and starring, you guessed it, Jeremy Clarkson, this brand-new event 'promises to be the definitive auto-extravaganza for anyone and everyone who is passionate about prestige and performance cars.' Clarkson describes it as 'Monsters of Rock on wheels' - think of it as the ultimate theatre of fast cars in action, and you've got the picture.
Running from 11-14 December, at the Earls Court arena in London, MPH'03 is no ordinary motor show. It's 'the most interactive motoring experience ever seen in the UK - and with star attractions including the Pagani Zonga, Lamborghini Murcielago, Koenigsegg CC, Bentley Continental and TVR 440R, as well as Top Gear's own Richard Hammond and the one and only Tiff Needell joining Clarkson in the presenters' chairs, it's going to be very fast and very furious indeed.

I just realized - for all the imagery and promotion over the decades that the USA is the auto mecca of the world (car culture) - southern Kalifornia and Florida are the exotic car places to see and touch any car you want - there is an extreme lack of true enthusiasts, quality automotive TV/promotion and shows.
It seems every week a new and better TV/promotion spot is announced by the British automotive set - yet the best the USA has to offer is NASCAR TV and a few old Speedvisionnreruns of Legends of Motorsport.
Oh well - at least they have some reality TV and, soap operas and morning talk shows...
This upcoming show sounds like it could be fair dinkum ...

This show sounds interesting. JC and Tiff certainly makes a good combo for a car talk show. Too bad I don't live in London, otherwise I would go ot watch it.

JC and Tiff... then add a couple of supercars... Nice recipe! I was wondering, is it just static action or will there be driving?
I hope it will be televised.
