Default Wine Country Classic - Classic car races - Fantastico!

I had the good fortune to go to Sears Point Raceway (aka Infineon Raceway) in the Wine Country in the Bay Area, CA - its near Sonoma.

The Wine Country Classic is a smaller version of the Monterey Historic races and features cars from the 1910s to 1970s. There were stunning display of cars in the parking lot as well as the pit garages all over. It was a vintage car lover's dream.

My highpoint was seeing 2 Testa Rossas, Gurney Eagle Weslake - the best looking F1 car of alltime and several Can Am cars.

Jaguar was the sponsor and brought a lot of their racing cars. Shelby and Ford had a big gathering - saw tons of Cobras and GT350s.

- The car was created by Dan Gurney who set up his team called All-American Racers. The car is simply the best looking F1 car of all time. The only other car that is on the same page is the Lotus 49B.
