I don't think it's that ugly compared to other trucks. It's just that this type of cars aren't very beautiful to start with.

Premium car brand my ass. I don't think I'll ever pay the same money for a Merc as I will for BMW... at least there's still one premium brand that knows the meaning of "class".

Well, from an economic point of view, it is a smart move, as long as you have a demanding market for this, it is common sense to deliver and earn some pennies.

The last thing Merc needs is more unreliable crap hitting the road. Pennies are not going to save MB. nothing short of a miracle will.
In all honesty, MB needs to kill off half their line, and up the reliabilty of the rest. Maybe if they bring back some of their reliability and class, they just MIGHT be able to make a comeback.
They have a loooonnnggg way to go though.

It does look quite ugly if you just look at it fleetingly, but then it kind of...just makes sense. I guess it's a just another luxury SUV-type thing. They'll probably make it, as they have proven they don't care much for their luxury car image anymore, with things such as s-class diesels, the a-class, the c-class, vaneo, viano, and their various microbuses and trucks. If they do make it'll probably be a success, and be bought by people like Brad Pitt, and some 'bling' obsessed weirdo's who'll put '24's' on it. Personally, I hate it, but in the long run, probably a wise choice for Mercedes

Oh no , is this actually real? I hope it's not. Is this a variation of the new M or G Class??? if it is a variaton of the G class then all Mercedes should just be re-badged to a Ford or some other shit.
