These are from the May issue of Motor Trend, i'm iffy on it, but it is just a mock up.

Hmm, not sure if I like it or not... looks kinda rice-ish with everything borrowed from other cars for the most part. I'll wait till I see a real pic of it before I make up my mind. One thing at least is that it stands out a bit better than the first gens did at first glance.

It has a more retro look to it which is nice, but i can't stand that mustang wing on the back.

Its WAY better looking then the current one. It would look pretty sinister in black.

I like it, reminds me alot of the older goat. I dont like the current body style much it looks too much like any other pontiac. It would look pretty mean in black, i can hardly wait.

They (GM) axed the Zeta chassis. Wonder if that will change what the stylists envision?

Although, done right even a J2000 can look pretty mean...

I like this one alot better than the current model looks better, the current one is too common not enough in touch with where it got its namesake.

I totally agree with you gtx. I used to live with an 04 and its just way too generic. the original built a name, a reputation. the new mock-up takes a little more of the name back into play. they made it more recognizeable. id like to see more of the older classics come back to life and hold their names. the thunderbird was good, and the mustang still catches my eye. this is a good trend.

This is seriously how the GTO should have come back in the first place. I think when you resurect a model you have to pick up where it left off and use some of the signature styline ques that made the car in the first place.
