Take a look at this:

Count the turbos.

They have some sweet ass cars on that site.

I guess as an engineering excercise it's interesting...

Sorry but what a peice of shit, as RC said its an intersting project from an engineering point of view but only 700bhp from 8 turbos...........all this work and all that turbo lag.............

i remember seeing that page a long time ago, not sure where i got the link. pretty much a waste of time it seems, as SFDMALEX points out that amount of power is pathetic for that many turbos, but oh well, i guess they were just trying to prove it can be done.

The horsepower it puts out is rather low for that much turbos, but from a artistic design standpoint its very impressive. It must of taken a lot of work to figure out the logistics of cramming eight turbos under the hood. And that 750hp is at 13.5lbs of boost.

Here is an article on it: http://hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/113_0411_turbo/

You have to agree that this is pretty sweet.

its better to have like 4 turbos double the size then 8 turbos half the size.

its a show car obviously, yes 700hp is low output for that many turbos i guess but i dont think his goal was to set any 1/4 mile records at the strip. its purely a show car and a damn good one at that IMO. the point of these cars is to be unique, show something that nobody else has and 8 turbos is certainly unique

Waste of money if you ask me. That car does not deserve that much money put to it.

ditto

I would not say it's awesome, but is very interesting as a show car. I don't doubt a rice boy will give it a try with progressive turbos, each one bigger than the other
first a tiny turbo just to increase the pressure, then another and another... oh my... I should be looking for a job instead of thinking in stupid things

yeah why waste all that time and effort by slapping on 8 turbos
anyone could do that, just no one saw the point

i would rather see the car put out more power with 1 or 2 turbos

or be really original and twincharge it (supercharge + turbo) which is useful

but oh well some ppl have more money and time then brains

i seen this in a magazine and laughed for like 10 mins at its lack of creativity

"hey i dont know what we can do to make this car stand out"
"i know! lets put 8 turbos on it cause i cant think of anything else, and thats ridiculous!"

lol

wow..... that's insane. practicality? um, none really. i think it's just one of those "do it cuz i can..." kinda deals.

1) he prolly learned some trick new engineering.... nothing profound, but definitely a little more creative...i'll give it that.
2) at least it's done nicely. it's clean, shiny, fairly symmetrical and not just "ricer cuz i want lots of turbos"

fun to look at anyway.
