Porsche Carrera

Belongs to the friend of the Mercede's Serice Advisor. He gets to take it pretty much whenever he wants since the owner never drives it

Sorry i don't know what 99* it is. I never got into that aspect of Porsche. Little help from out Porsche gurus?

How do the numbers work for Porsche? i don't quite understand the 993, 996 and so on. I've always just gone by their badge (Carrera, 944, Boxter, etc)

993 are those and 996 are the newer ones with the cooler lights instead of those circuly ones and then 997 is the newest ones. these are teh most known there are numbers for the Boxster but no one really uses it but i think the new one is the 987 and the old one is 986?

996 are the newer ones with the cooler lights

I beg to differ on the lights of the 996 being cooler. Of course, this is a matter of preference, but, IMO, lights on Porsche don't get any cooler than the classis round ones like on the 993.

You could say so

The Porsche 911 range has a second numeration to tell exactly which generation it is. Currently we have the Porsche Carrera 911 (997).

Well yeah, because for every porsche generation you have several models: Turbo's, Carrera 4's etc.

Thanks for the pics, the 993 series ('93-'97 I believe) is the most beautiful of all the 911's IMO.....the headlights are great and so is that 'coke bottle' shape
I saw a 993 Turbo today and drooled over it for a good 20mins - while I should have been at work
