Default 2-20-05 - Texas World SpeedWay - GT2,Panoz,Modded Lawnmower

Went to watch Z06Forum member race his T1 #66 Z06 in an SCCA Regional Race this afternoon.

Was a blast... especially the "I clocked you at 94mph in a 40mph zone.. So - keep it slower and get the hell outa here" stop by the nice DPS Officer on the way home..

First - The Flags

Next - the Corvette Corral...

Some Pit Transportation...

How not to end your day..

But - how very much to start it..

Mid Race...

This is how you end it..

Get weighed and teched out...

Follwed up with a call from Team Corvette...

They start the pit crews young these days...

I was sure I was seeing and hearing Brad catch air as he crossed the back straightaway...

Very nice action shots RC! Thanks!

As for that imageshack thingy, it happens when too many ppl posts too many pics without using the thumbs, but well, considering the amount of thumbs posted around here, they could maybe eat already too much LOL!

Were the pics not working before? Because now they are fine!

Well - the meet with the nice State Trooper lady on the way home went down like this:

The lady busted me as I crested a hill - the radar went crazy as we approached - and I was hard on the brakes as she came into view in the oncoming lane.

I slowed to about 50 as we approached each other... and she flipped the lights on and had he arm out the window.

There we were - stopped on a rural raod, drivers window to drivers window...

DPS Officerette: "I clocked you at 94mph in a 40mph zone"
Me: "Sorry Mam"
DPS Officerette: "Not on my road"
Me: "No Mam."
DPS Officerette: "Not today."
Me: "No Mam"
DPS Officerette: "So - keep it slower"
Me: "Yes Mam"
DPS Officerette: "Now get the hell outa here"
Me: "Thankyou Mam".

All I could see in the rear view mirror was my buddy in the blue Z - eyes wide like saucers wondering if we were getting booked.. hehe

Fitting end to a great day... hehe
