Default World Records for Most Persons in a Car

OFFICIAL RECORD LIST BY THE REKORD-KLUB SAXONIA
Rules

The car and bus cramming records are all subject to the following rules:

* The vehicle must be a standard production model.
* No seats, fitments and such shall be removed.
* All windows, doors, boot and bonnet must be closed on competition.
* The time limit to achieve the record must be no more than 10 minutes.
* The vehicle's engine must be started on completion of the cram.
* The team members must be at least 16 years old.

Because of the vast number of makes of vehicles on the road today, the number of car cramming records in this list should be reduced to a few cars only. If you want to set a record, please prefer to beat a record that is in our list. However, we will expand the list if there are interesting new claims for well-known cars.
(Note: The rules used by Guinness World Records differ from the above rules. In particular, Guinness requires a minimum age of 18 years and no person who is less than 1.525 m [5ft] may participate.]

British Leyland Mini: 39

And this??

I think this in not doable... if they can only fit 21 people on a BMW Mini, how do they fit 18 in a Smart and 39 in the original Mini??

34 in the VW bug is pretty impressive to me. that's 13 more people than in the Mini... that's crazy. They really must have used the arch dome to squeeze ppl in there. Talk about uncomfortable. Cool record tho, and sweet pics.

18 people in a Smart is frightening, that can't be possible with normal sized people! I'd like to see some pics of that...

It's a crazy video from Japan of a van that has an ungodly amount of people pouring out of it.
