Default Feb8 Stmoritz, PART 1 BentleyCont GT,911,Cayenne,Maybach

The long expected first batch of 50 pics is online
Warning:56K - no chance, sorry

overview of the event on the frozen lake of St.Moritz
parking lot

what kind of event is that?
It's a POLO tournament, since 21years, they play Polo on the frozen lake of St.Moritz (on hard snow, of course )
It's also big High Society event, therefore many luxury cars in the parking lot. Maybach was a team sponsor, so they had a tent displaying the Maybach and the SLR.The other Maybachs were used for shuttle service (together with the Mercedes G55-AMG).....
here's the link to the event
http://www.polostmoritz.com/

and the Maybach page
http://www.maybach-manufaktur.com/index.htm

Porsche 911 Turbo salted

2 Bentley Continental GT

various Porsche Cayenne (Gemballa?, SportecTurbo and S)

with the Palace Hotel in the back

front of the blue Maybach with a Cayenne

Audi A8 6.0 W12 and black Cayenne

And now some Maybachs (unfortunately, some pics are taken in the shadow, the sun was about to raise behind the mountain, it was fu..... cold (-25°C) until the sun came out (-15°C in the sun

one of my favourites

AMG's G55 and S500

more pic in process 8)

That are some really impressive pics. The snowy mountains background is great, the cars are hot, and the pics are good quality

I can't wait for the next update

EWWW, damn imageshack has a bad moment and the pics load VEEEEEEEERY slowly!! Can't wait to be able to see them all! I really miss St.Moritz!

Dude, what did you use to resize the pics again? The quality is sadly not really good in some of the pics I saw so far.. can't explain it, but you can see the straight lines often beeing too "scaled" the ones that are the original size or just cropped don't have this little "problem".. still great pics!

I'll have a look on the original pic (CD) and try also another program, (I have the PhotoEditor and PaintShopPro available) - I think the sharpening of the picture could be a reason ( in the very bright environment from the snow and the sun, it's not useful to sharpen the pictures, the borders are too strong - similar to the reflection-area on the car... I'll check ...
