Default Perth 26/1/2005 (GT3, S2000, Continental...)

I took photos of some nice cars in Fremantle today and missed some nice cars too (3200GT and E46 M3 ).

HSV Clubsport

HSV Walkinshaw, only 500 were built so it's quite rare to see one.

I had to sprint to get this Bentley Continental, just managing to get a photo before it went into the yatch club. The second one was taken through the fence.

This S200 looks damn nice in white.

Ford XR8

MY99 WRX

The best sighting of the day, a GT3.

very nice pics, and very nice cars, that blue GT3 is for sure the nicest imo, very beautiful, that HSV is a very strange car, never heard of it before, rare rear wing, if that is a wing

Just a little background for you... because im bored

HSV stands for Holden Special Vechiles. Holden is probably the most popular car make here, and they're owned by General Motors. HSV is essentially Holdens in house tuner, much like M is to BMW and AMG is to Mercedes but they dont produce anywhere near as good as car i reckon

The first HSV pictures is a Clubsport R8, now i dont think its the new one but i the models made in the last few years have used the LS! (Gen3) engine out of the corvettes as their powerplant. The R8 had around the 285KW mark, so they get up and go. The latest R8 (Last few months) has 297KW and is useing the GenIV engine, again from the corvettes. These cars are all under the $100k AUD mark pretty much, quite good value and you see a fair few of them on the road.

I hope this has given a little insight into HSV in Australia.

Cheers

Some nice sightings. The blue GT3 looks great. The yellow colour doesn't suit that Scooby at all. I don't like it. As for the HSV, I really like recent (last 5 years) Holdens, especially the HSV Clubsport and Monaro ones. Sadly they aren't available over here (steering wheel is placed on the wrong side )
