Those are pretty interesting articles, I just pray that the Lamborghini diesel isn't going to happen - that would just ruin Lamborghini as a brand.

I don't think so, I actually think it could be a good thing to have a sportscar with a diesel on the market. Torque
|
diesel 5.0 V10 TDI
petrol engine 5.10 V10 biturbo - look at AMG or something like that,
petrol had more power, more torque with same engine, and diesel is very heavy,

Yah.... a Murcie really hasn't got enough torque
Diesel will kill the brand, i doubt that VW are that stupid. They seem to be getting clever-er... look at the new golf GTi.... however, the Phaeton was another shit decision, along with the last two GTis

Oh my god the nightmare start again... few month ago I said wait 2 year and you'll see
a lambo with a diesel engine but didn't thought it will happen. I just hope it will only be
for the SUV project (LM something).
A big thanks to Audi that I hate everyday more and more

I though lambo was put on earth for 1 thing.. to distroy it.. not to be kinder to the enviroment.. This is really silly I don't care if it is better for the enviroment.. it would suck big time and it would be like a tracker..lool.. This is stupid.. next thing you know they will be building SUV.. ohh wait they already started thinking of that.. .. Lambo is losing it..

I'm sorry but even if a Lamborghini diesel had 1000 Lb/ft of Torque, it would still be nothing compared to a proper petrol engine. Lamborghini are supposed to be wild exotic cars that have great big, aggressive V12 petrol power and deliver the driver with the sense of occassion that only a Lambroghini can. A Diesel would ruin the reputation and destroy any respect I had for the company.
What happened to the days of the Miura which would randomly spit out bits of fiery hot oil onto the engine, out of spite, just to make things interesting for the V12 driver
