what a joke
they get the greg guy, who in the MTV "in the life of a street racer" series, which i have if anyones interested, cant even get his car to run right....
then they get a the teckademics guy, whos videos, in my opinion suck
and they think they have an accurate picture.
this kinda stupidity has been going on since ppl could figure how to ride an animal
speed = fun
basic fact and the idiots of the world: greg, the majority of ricers, high end sports car owners, muclecar guys, etc that cant control thier cars, and the idiots who make dvds showing other idiots try to kill themselves, cant take it to a track, or dont have the common sense to realize that traffic laws are there for a reason, and so race tracks are too
are the people who give REAL car enthusiast a bad name, for everytime i get pulled over, wrongly, cause i drive a high horsepower car, and accused of racing, or speeding massivley, its because the media paints a unrealistic picture of people. i have won 12 speeding ticket/racing citations/etc in court cause i was either no where near where the officer said i was, the total wrong car, or just happened to roll through where a report was that someone was racing, and none of them i was doing anything wrong, the police, who are just trying to their job, watch this bullshit, like this tv show, or its many wannabes, and get mislead and quick to point blame
for example : in the video one crash (the mangled corvette) who the guy said was owned by a 16 year old....thats a rare occurance, how many 16 year olds have access to a vette? none i know of...or the teckademics loser, "if you havea 350hp car and dont get sideways you should be shot" thats retarded. i own a 350+ hp car...i get sideways....on the track, or private property... he makes it sound like ppl who own high hp cars, all do this, all break the law, and all get people killed, and if they dont, then someone should shoot them. how rational is that? its a joke
for once i would like a accurate portial of the "tuner" scene, but its not gonna happen the media knows misreporting and singling out rare occurances, and twisting the truth will make them more money, instead of doing whats right, and giving the millions of real "tuners" , not ignorant ricers, the credit the deserve for keeping the spirit , romance, love, and thrills of legal racing, motoring, and modify credit for thier efforts
its crap like this that pushes through legislation laws that have/will limit the general publics abilities to excersize their rights to modify, race, and own certain cars. these guys say they love the scene, the cars, and the speed, yet they are the number one reason all this could be lost.
