I'm pretty sure this is from Bangle's early days.
I will stand by my claim that he had the right IDEA but completely fucked up the details and made a terrible car in the end.

The X-coupe was just terrible. I thought the Z9 was quite a nice effort... but this? It looks like something that was in a train accident, but some miracle made it out barely alive.
Having it in high-res is similar to having somebody holding up the evidence to an assault and battery case against a projector.

I dont think the straight on side view is bad, however if u start to from there you are screwed.

It doesnt look great, but it doesnt look as hideous as BMWs usual current shapes that BMW is launching beginned with the 7 series........IMO its not a difficult task for merc or audi to get a more beautiful rival
