another dickhead who likes defeating the purposes of an RX7 i presume? just like lowering an off roader
anyways he could extract the same amount of power from the rotary compared to the V8

stracing think about it. a rotary engine has to rev up high to make any power. also they are expensive to make power with. so a v8 conversion isnt exaclty a stupid thing. i doubt youve been around alot of real car people who accualy work on cars but if you have the phrase "theirs no replacment for displacment" may have come up and its true. dont get me wrong i can make a rotary make 500 hp i can also make a v8 do it for less then half the price with alot more tourque and a better powerband so i dont have to rev the motor way up to see any power. its like vtec motors. no power below vtech nothing. now the little rotary engines are light and small so they go along nicly with mazda's 50/50 theory. and if i wanted a rx-7 purely to handel yes a v-8 would be a bad upgrade. but if i want to make it very fast in a strait line well then bring on the new motor mounts and the 350.

no the v-8 unlike a rotary is not a piece of crap. you can also rebuild a v-8. also the lack of sophictication makes it more reilble less can go wrong. please dont hit me with this jap motors are high tech and blah blah horseshit. first of the rotary is a german idea. thats why it was called the wankle after the german who invetned it. 2nd they are crap. i got my mazda rotary engine mechianic certifaction in college a couple years back. not only was the class crap but the motor two. u cant rebuild a rotary and make it work right. and varible valve timming wasnt invted by honda seeing as i am on a rampage agasint stupid techno savey people who think high tech= faster all it means is more problems. im not attacking anybody here dont take me wrong. im not trying to be mean. just trying to make others think. whitep this isnt some hateful thing agaisnt you. i dont know what you ment, but id rather say it all now other then in 20 little posts like a post whore. but i do like the rx7 they are fun but i like sick low end power, and sadly the rx7 can never provide me with that. unless its got a v8 under the hood. btw anyone tested out a rx8? i wanna hear real peoples oppions on them. in la they are on a back order i know a girl who bought one hers wont be here for another 3 months. so test drives arent avaible atm.

yes i have been around ppl who muck around with cars.
my point which i made VERY(to the power of infinity) clearly defeated the purpose of an rx7 which seemed to go in one's ear and out the other

and sometimes price isn't main concern with ppl

Also for problems with WMV files I have found downloading the very latest version of media player from microsoft gets most things playing...

According to microsoft, you need the new WMP (7 or newer) to play wmv's encoded with vbr wmv9. Old WMP6.4 (my prefer player) works with cbr wmv9 though.
