Default I rode in a Modena today

The noise... the noise... the noise... the noise... is amazing. I thought turbos were cool but N/A is astonishing. The owner swapped the stock muffler with something louder and the damn thing growls like a mad mad dog. A solidly mad dog. And I thought the sound of more than a dozen F1 cars were great. The noise inside... omfg! I still cant get over it. Too bad the clutch is busted (acts funny on third) and the only Ferrari dealer here is charging US$7,115.00 for replacement and labour.

Evos may be fast but boy oh boy Modenas rule. Viva Ferrari!

TT just for you man! A short preview http://www.motorworld.net/forum/show...941&highlight=

I've taken 300+ shots of the that motorshow and I dont think imageshack is a good way to present it. i'll form a "invite guest to view" imagestation link after I try to get some sleep.

After riding in a Modena... I will not look at my Evo the same again. The noise... the noise... the noise... the noise... the wonderful wonderful wonderful noise.

Yup, saw that topic, but it's about the motorshow, not about the ride in the Ferrari anyway, take a good sleep now (not sure you will be able: I was unable to sleep after my Enzo or 360 Spider rides myself LOL)

tis the best thing about the V8 ferraris, they may not be the quickest although they are quick, but the sound just beats everything else

My ride in a 360 spider was just insane a while back...

Considering trading your evo in for a 355 yet?

Here's the story. While waiting for the traffic jam to thin out I returned to the AA Motorshow to take more shots of the Ferraris/Maserati before they're taken back by the owners & dealer. So there I was picturing away at 9:16PM (GMT 8:00+) so for the next 15 mins I was taking shots of the Modena and Maranelo at various angles and whatnot. Then I stopped and talked to the fellow who detailed the cars & I showed him my shots. He asked me about my hobby and we basicly talked about Ferraris. While we were chatting when the organizer got into the Modena and prep'd it for departure from the basketball court. I asked the detailer if I could ride in it and he said "sure! approach the organizer" I did and asked him if I could ride. He obliged and I got to sit in it at 9:44PM (GMT 8:00+) so for the next 3 mins I was in a running & moving Modena! I only got out because they had problems clearing the ramp.

Looking at the time stamp on the images I took it amazes me how LONG it felt to be riding in a Ferrari. Man, there must be a time space warp or something in that car where it stretch 3 mins to 3 hrs.

That long 3 mins will forever inspire me to work my ass off so I can one day afford to buy one myself. God willing I will be driving one within a decade's time.

mindgam3: the 355 I had the honor of sitting, touching and taking photos off is being offered at 2 times the price of my Evo. I'd love to own one but I could imagine how maintenance cost will put a dent on my lifestyle. I'm satisfied with the Evo but I'll forever lust for a Ferrari!

TT I've made three albums sliced into American, Japanese & European cars.

Ayala Alabang MotorShow: European Car Edition
Ferrari 575M Maranello F1, Ferrari 360 Modena, Ferrari 355 F1 Berlinetta, Maserati V8, Land Rover Range Rover, Jaguar X-Type & Jaguar XJ

Imagstation sucks. It wont allow for full resolution pics.

thats so awesome man, i was at my Ferrari/Maserati dealership about 2 weeks ago and they had about 10 Ferraris/Maseratis parked in their parking lot. Me and the guy that does the detailing etc were talking for quite a while and then it was time to put the cars back in the garage. I was there standing right beside the cars as he drove them ever so slowly in the garages. They were Maserati spyder, a 2005 coupe, a quattroporte, a 348, a 355 (i think it was a spyder), a 360, and then the best ones were: a red Maranello i think he sad it had tubi sounded so crazy the bass was awesome, then even better a dark blue 360 spyder it had tubi omg the idle was just insane rumbling and everything had all these different sounds and when he lightly took off the thing just sounded like it was just waiting to rip someone apart.

And best of all the guy goes listen to this. It was a Maserati coupe with no Resonators!!!!!, im not sure if everything else was stock or tubi etc. he just said the guy removed the Resonators. I cant describe the sound, at idle the Car just sounded like it was a abomb ready to explode at any moment. And then he revved it a few times!!! must of been close to redline. After that my ears hurt for 2 hours and had a headache for the rest of the night it was that loud!! omg the last time i ever heard any car this loud was when i went to watch CART race in 99. I bet the Ferraris are just as loud probably even louder but i never heard one revved up alot and especially as close as i was to the Maserati (right behind it). the gu comes out with a huge smile on his face and i try to give a lil smirk back (trying not to be like a 10 year old kid) but a half second later it turns into a huge smile too, lol.

Oh ya and one more thing lol there was a white porsche parked in the lot too either a 911 turbo or 911 turbo S, and the guy said that driving Ferraris finally after 10 years in the auto industry made him realise that in his exact words "ive realised Porsches are for pussies", he said the have absolutely no soul to them, and the tiptronic thing is sad and so boring, but not so with F1 paddle shift, just thought id mention that
