IMO an Impreza WRX is all about go, not show. It doesn't try to hide the fact it's a Japanese car or that's it's not designed by an Italian designer, the interior is plain and simple, it's all very straightforward. It is to be appreciated for what it does, what it looks like is almost irrelevant. Don't get me wrong, I like it. But I probably like it better, because I know what it can do. That's the essence of this car IMO. No bullshit, it's all about driving. So, if the spoiler doesn't serve a purpose and doesn't add anything other than a visual effect, it kind of contradicts this essence.
If this doesn't convince you or, more likely, you think I'm talking out of my ass right now, I think it also looks better without the spoiler.

I totally agree with you guys but the wife see's it a different way. She doesn't like the looks in the first place but like you said that isn't what it is about with the Impreza.

If she doesn't like the look of the car in the first place, then why should she be bothered if you remove the spoiler?

Well, you can try to take it off, and wait to see if she really can't stand it.. if it will be the case, you just have to glue it again to the car
But I'll repeat, IMO an Impreza w/o the rear spoiler is sexy.. and rare too

i didnt vote coz my answer is both yes and no
NO - because the car looks good with it,plain and simple answer
YES - because,it also looks good without it,i never seen an impreza without the spoiler were i live, but if i did, just from lookin at the pics, the car looks sexy without it and also like TT said, its rare without a spoiler,IMO u would then make some people think "is that an impreza.i think it is,but again it might not" for the simple reason that the spoiler makes a big difference in how it looks.and with people saying that,i would get a nice feelin puzzling them.lol

The only reason I can think of to remove the spoiler is if it performs no actual function. As I recall, the surface of the spoiler is actually set to produce negative lift at high speed, the only thing is that you'd probably have to be going quite fast in order for it to make much of a difference at all.

I think you need the wing on the wrx myself. The car lacks any sporting look at all without it. Not trying to knock it or anything because there definetely fast but always been a bit lacking in the looks department.Don't the real rally cars have a wing?

I an not a fan of uselessly large wings etc, but that one is tasteful and adds character to the car, I say keep it.

Remove it. And I would also do something with front bumper, to make it more boring. What I like is unnoticeable fast cars

I would say keep it because it looks kinda strange without the wing IMO (kinda looks like an ordinary sedan)
