Why not socket 939 and the 2800+ with the 90nm treatment ? thought that was better for overclocking !!!

Well the new Epox mobo is comming out soon, but the 939 mobos aren't exactly great right now. And aren't socket 939 things still quite expensive compared to the 754s?
Also that is one really freaking big hsf. I'm just using the stock one, and it sucks balls lol. And I'm too cheap and lazy to get a new one. Winters comming around so I won't need it for another few months.
When did you get that ram? I'm pretty sure winbond stopped making ram, and the BH-5s were discontinued quite a while back.

Hrm I've read that 2500+ mobile versions can easily reach 2.4-2.6 with the NF7 (could be AN7 or w/e I can't remember or it could be both) or the DFI lanparty/infinity models. Not sure about the cooling, but it probably could be achieved with decent cooling. Probably something from ThermalRight would do the trick.

be sure to remember let us know how the overclocking goes. i want to do it to mine as well.
but i need to get a better cooling solution first. the cpu runs at 55degC under no load in open air as well. its like a heater next to my legs

Very true Pato...I sure have learned my lesson the hard way...but I am happy with what I ended up with in the end (although it did cost me a fortune)...and so should you be...as you get your videos much quicker now...I also changed to another ISP now...seems good so far...but still too early to say if the connection is 100% reliable.
Just about to leave to collect my two repaired monitors YAY !!!

i'm changing isp too. i can get 1.5M(don't laugh, australia is lagging) line for the same price as 512k now. wish ourselves good luck in getting stable and reliable connection.
