I don't know why...but it's obvious that there must be a reason to explain this because in our country there is a lot of tradition in racing competitions so I can't understand the difference of the results...

Gilles never won. unless you coun't snowmobile racing

but to think we've had many champions and great drivers, a great car heritage too.... even now 75% of the grid have their cars and R&D done in the UK but we wont even have a GP here

just cause they have the most champions doesn't mean they are the best drivers, heck in my top 5 there are no brits, 8)

australia has done alright
sir jack brabham has 3...not the mention the only person to have a drivers and constructors championship under his name. and alan jones who has won one. soon mark webber will have his name there.

UK has the most for sure ... but the Brazilians were the most charismatic for sure.
I was watching the half of the 1983 F1 season on video last week back home and saw the playful antics of Piquet. That guy was fighting for the crown and had a couple of engine failures in the race but minutes after the incident he is all smiles and joking around...
