Default Jeremy vs Tiff's take on the McLaren SLR

I just finished watching Tiff's much delayed review on the SLR and found it a bit boring as compared to Jeremy's review on it. Jeremy had more data to convey than Tiff. While Tiff didnt say much at all.

What I liked most about Tiff's segment was the feature on McLaren's new factory, how a perspective buyer would go through when customizing his car and how he compared the SLR to the F1.

JC and TN points of view are very different. As a presenter JC has more of that sparkle that attracts ppl. I believe he's more of a person that talks by the guts, the heart.
TN has a technical point of view, a less vulgar display of enthusiasm.

JC knows he can't drive like TN, and replaces that lack of talent with a more humoristic sense

but... it's my perspective, so many of you will have some other ideas

Well, considering JC is pretty much useless for getting a real review...I think Tiff's review was a lot better. Whatever JC says is usually just whatever is on his mind at the time, plus he can't drive nearly as well as Tiff. 8)

Tiff's review was a lot more exciting IMO, especially with the great drifts.

almost on the spot.
As everso says, JC has better reviews, more fun
and tiff sometimes is boring, after seeing him doing the same tricks for years.

Tiff's exciting in his own way but in this review he looked so bored. He must be thinking to himself that the SLR's crap as compared to the F1.

And JC just spouts off crap for the whole review...yes he's amusing, but he's also a wind-bag, with surprisingly little knowledge of cars considering his job.

5th Gear also has VBH...

I agree that JC is a wind bag.. somewhat amusing i guess... Tiff really makes you feel like you're driving the car how it should be...

if i wanted to by a car i'd listen to Tiff, but if i'm jus watchin the review for fun then i prefer Jeremy because of his humour, i love it!

JC is certainly more entertaining, but the thing is, don't try to actually take anything away from the show because whatever he says is useless.

He isn't a terrible driver, but he doesn't really have the ability to judge the strengths or limits of the cars he reviews that we care about.

I liked TIffs better, not only because he drove the car as it should be, but because I got to see the factory that is responsible for the baby in my sig!

The most disappointing thing about Tiff's review was that he spent disproportionate amount of time talking about how the SLR power slides and made just a few comments on how it cornered without breaking traction. Who cares how the SLR power slides?! I don't think anybody in their right mind would buy such an expensive and sophisticated car to drift around a track like a cheap American hot rod. His review reminds me of old JC reviews: lots of flash with little substance.

The Woking Facility is simply brilliant. Did you notice how there are no doors actually on the side of the building? You have to use a special elevator. (or at least they made it seem)

As for Jeremy v. Tiff, Jeremy is far more superior. Honestly no matter how good Tiff's driving may be, they both arrived at the same conclusion, but Jeremy made it very interesting while as Tiff was...typically being Tiff. Who's the Honourary Doctor at Brunel University?

i reckon JC is the best .. he can drive and he can review or else he wouldnt havea huge audience on tv watching... tiff might have raced a LEMANS car and all but jc is better now doubts about it.
