Sébastien Loeb WRC Champion 2004
By finishing second in the Tour de Corse, Sébastien Loeb/Daniel Elena claimed the World Rally Championship Drivers' title in Ajaccio today. Their result, strengthened by a third-place finish for Carlos Sainz/Marc Marti, allowed Citroën to keep their grip on the Manufacturers' title, which they already claimed last year. A double for the Chevrons, therefore, with two rounds of the Championship still to go.
He was so happy that he made a flip !

Well it wasnt a big surprise anyway - considering he was leading by a huge margin before this race

That a good news, he did a very good season and lost title last year just because of team consign. And finally because we weren't a lot to believe in him, remember... http://www.motorworld.net/forum/show...highlight=loeb

You are right sameerrao, it's true that it was not really a big surprise. Sorry TT... hehe. I wrote this news when I saw the confirmation from France2 news.

Congratulations for Loeb.....i was sure that he was going to win the championship as i bet for him some time ago in this section though.......for me he is just the most intelligent rally driver, since he takes risks just when necessary, he is the fastest on tarmac, and he is a brilliant driver on every surface....about the atmosphere in the WRC....almost always the relationship among drivers have been very good in general, unlike the formula 1
