No I didn't. There have been all kinds of Porsches in rallying.

exactly....it has won the Dakar Rally twice with Jacky Ickx (once with the 911 in 1984 as far as i know, and another time with the 959 in 1986) apart from other good races in hard rallying races such as Acropolis, the Safari Ralye......among other good success with the 911 in rallying in bad conditions such as Baja California.........

If you see the Porsche Cayenne comercial, you see that they say that Cayenne roots came from the 959, in it's Rally version.

Yeah I know that- I mean nowadays. This is from a modern off road rally.
And yes I know about the 959 in the paris dakar.

Anyway I thought it looked kinda funny, they have also replaced the flat 6 with a V8.

I too have seem plenty of offrad porsches like the Prodrive one

this is nothing special just a poor remake of some decent past rally cars

seeing a lifted porsche with big offroad tires come flying over a crest in a dirt road would definitely make me do a serious doubletake

not something you see everyday
