Default Should GM?

Should GM allow one of its other subsideraries to make a car as powerful, or more powerful than the mighty Corvette? If so who should do it?

I think Pontiac should have made the new GTO more powerful, it runs what 14.1 stock right now? If any company in GM makes a corvette killer it should be Pontiac, they dont get shit. Their best car was killed off cuz of the damn camaro, and now the GTO has been pussified.

Yea it was, but now its a Luxury Coupe more than the Muscle Car it should be. Im so upset that it runs a 14.1 stock. It doesnt deserve the GTO badge name, just name it Wanna be and lets move on. I hope that the bring back the Chevelle and actually give The Corvette Design team something to do.

Definitely a Yes! Wonder why GM didn't use the Holden HSV for the GTO instead. They could put a tuned LS6 to make it the perfect muscle car. With the new engines co-developed with Fiat, I think GM should be able to put out some "modern" high performance cars in the near future.

yeh thet GTO is a POS, basicley it's a 2 door verion of the HSV
all of thoes cars use the same LS1 V8 engine
they are very luxurious thoe.
but most of them are automatic (aparantley) because thats what most customers want,
and aparantley it's the same auto used on the V6 engines, and aint a very good gearbox..

Im seriously considering holding a POLL to not hold anymore POLLs for at least a Month. Jeeze im sick of these useless POLLs.

Anyway, the HSV GTS is a nice car. Im in agreement with the post of disbelief by alienDb7 about Pontiac not using it for the GTO. Everyone knows its an HSV so why didnt they make it a decent HSV? I think the Commodores would do well in the US market. They are large and Yank tank like, kind of like the Lincons, caprices etc.

I noted the HSV because the Pontiac GTO is basically an HSV. Ship a few XR8's and im sure they would do well. I just think the Yanks would like the Aussie cars, like the Holdens and Fords (family sedans). Bloody Magna and Camry I hope they all get exported. Btw they are already in the USA. I saw them recently in LA.

i'm surprised by the efficiency of the xr6 turbo. only about 15% power loss from flywheel to wheel
