Default Astra coupe Turbo or 328Ci which is faster?

I always have the same discussion with a friend. In theory the have the same hp but the astra is more effective and I have proven it.the good thing is that the bmw has rear traction and is more fun.

It depends on the situation....i think that the Astra must be faster(ive no read the comparison between the cars), once the Astra is lighter, and it needs less revs to get the power, in addition...the opel turbo engine is very brilliant as well

On the other hand.....the bmw has got a better chasis than the Astra, but once the opel is shorter and lighter...i think that the astra must be more effective and faster in twisty roads, although the suspension and chassis is better from the BMW,....ive no clue about the brakes...but if the size of both is similar....weve got another advantage for the opel...on the other hand,,,,,,once the BMW is a rear wheel drive car, its more fun to drive

the brakes of the Astra are magnificent. In fact I`ve got a magazine that compares it with a celica t-sport and a hyundai coupe and the best brakes were the astra`s.
I haven`t found any comparison between them either but ive read one against a 325 ti and it smashed it.

The rear suspensions are a little bit old but you must have in mind that the A3 has the same type(the front drive version).

Rear drive is fun but in rain and with no Esp...

This is interesting, maybe on a wet twisty track the astra could be at a big advatage with FWD, would be good to see a vid with them against each other. Hope the astra would win tho
