New 3 Series pics...almost no camo!!!
Dudes...I found these pics in The Car Connection.com...pics of a new 3 series with almost no camo at all...you can clearly see every detail on it...and IMO in looks good...personally I like Bangle's work, and it looks a bit plain compared to his other designs...but it looks great...it's a logical evolution from the e46...can't wait for the M3!!
Here's the story... http://www.thecarconnection.com/inde...&sid=178&n=158
Except for a few pieces of strategically placed silver and black tape, this BMW 3-Series is virtually uncovered and completely exposed. Never before have we seen the upcoming 3-Series without excessive cladding and fake body panels.
The official introduction for the new 3-Series is scheduled next fall (2005) at the Frankfurt Motor Show, with sales starting shortly afterwards.
The sedan will be followed by the wagon's introduction six months later, with the coupe and convertible making their debut in the fall of 2006.

i dunno, i'd say they did a decent amount of camo work on the front facia, it kinda looks like a GTO if you just glance at it. Overall i really like the lines, I dont think BMW really wanted to take any big risks with this design, with the 3-series basicly being their best selling model.

The car looks bigger than the current 3 series. From the side, it still got some E46 lines on it. It looks like they try to disguise the front lights abit but from the looks, it kinda like a squeeze down version of the current ones.
So far so good....hope they don't screw this one up

and doesn't look bad at all, hopefully they won't screw up on the final product

looks good, you can see the outline of the headlamps from where the tape ends, i think it will look fine, doesnt seem to have changed too much. i am happy with it. without the tape and some nice looking rims on it i think it will be fine.
can anyone do a PS of it, with diff rims and erase the tape around the headlights to get a better idea.
thanks for the pics

I have to say.. They did a good job with the trunk.. and as gottacatchup said the light looks like a GTO..lol.. It almost got the same lines as the current 3 series sedan with few changes... And I hate those rims..

the changes are minim, but that turn sign on the side mirror are quite unique... IMO the front headlights might be the same design as the X3
