Default When will we get a new Fiero from GM?

I have read that GM was late in getting into the “sports compact” market. Behind Ford with the Focus, and Mopar with the Neon. Now they are trying to catch up with the new Cobalt SS.

GM had the only “everyday person’s” mid-engine ever made from an American car company. Wouldn’t it be cool if Pontiac came out with an all new 2006 Fiero?!?! Think of the possibilities!

And why not? The market would be great for it! After all Ford just brought the Elise here!

Never! the car sucked they were known for starting on fire. Ford really isn't that involved with Lotus anymore consider the fact that they make cars for GM and use a toyota motor which is linked to GM

sports and focus/neon don't belong in the same sentences.. And as I said in the last thread..ford has nothing to do with elise.. even less then GM does.. At least gm has ties to lotus. Gm owned lotus not that long ago.. Gm has a version of the elise.. Gm has links to the engine..

Look for the new solstice to meet that market.

well Lotus did use a Ford V8 in the Esprit but that's the only tie they had together.

Well, the Focus RS is really fast. Fast for a FWD car that is. Too bad we don't get that here. And that Cosworth Focus Concept was really fast. 300hp, 6 speed manual and AWD!
