You sure they had the traction control on?

You gotta put into the equation that the V6 engine is alot heavier then your turbo 4

It's a dream if u want to test all cars in a dry test track, in England! xsakes, in that country rains 359 days a year, plus the fog... yuck!

that's why F1 teams test in Spain, Italy, those countries have a friendlier climate

tiff is a real driver, and is there to push the cars, not push the humor section of the show, i would trust a tiff review of any car over a clarkson, and i would trust my car in tiffs hands a million times more than i would in clarkson hands
i know some like clarkson more, hes more pratcical...but then aigain my perfect street car is a race car

Although I'm a Tiff man I know that Tiff had his flukes aswell.
I remember that in one of the previous 5th Gear series he was making an videoshoot with the Tiger Z100, a twin Kawasaki ZX9R bike engine kitcar.

In an attempt to become the fastest "production car"and having already set a blistering 0-60 mph time of 3.11 seconds Tiff went out on a second run to improve that timeeven further. The engines have separate sequential gearboxes driving two propellers into a special straight cut transfer box. Something went wrong in the synchronisation and one of the engines was actually downshifted due to a mechanical glitch. Logically the engine overrevved and subsequently went with a big bang.
But those things can happen when you're trying to boldly go where no one has gone before :fadein:

You have to remember that they are pushing all the cars tested on the track to the limit & whilst the Audi TT is 4WD most of the time it's FWD and at the end of the day the TT is just a VW Golf, Seat Leon, and Skoda Octavia with a Coupe body and Aluminium bits – The TT is not a track sports car.

I think our monaro run was pretty poor even in the wet..I know that for a fact.I think Stig shat himself that he couldn't drive it.Get any real aussie touring car driver(let say Mark Skaife),show him the track,I reckon it would do easy 1.29seconds in the dry..I shit you not.Because I watch the bloody thing in production car racing,(well the GTS 300kw bit faster but not much due to 4 doors).Anyway, this thing sticks with STi and Evo in production car racing in the wet..Don't believe me,ask any aussie here that watch Production car racing here..Although not saying its better car than Evo or St in the handling department,Its quick, but Top gear made it out its slow.I know the track was wet that day,but yeah, IMO should have done better...I don't think stig was pushing it..

besides that, there is an MTM Bimoto TT with over 800 HP (494hp/ton). That is one of the fastest cars in the world right now..and it has 2 engines. The chassis can definitely handle it.
April Fools already

i think the zonda got cheated the most. if you look at the video the zonda did the lap on a the same track as the Murcielago and lap at 1.23 when the murcielago lap on 1.29.

That wasn't the same "Stig" for the 2 Lambo laps (and not the same Murcielago too, the second seems to have a special exhaust compare to the first), the new one is obviously more "effective" and I think that he would have posted a better time with the Zonda.
The temperature of the track can play a small role too (1~2 seconds i think) but i was surprised of the poor time of the first Lambo, the Zonda is faster but not that much : 5 seconds on a 1:23.9 time lap !! They have almost the same difference on the Nurbürgring (Ref. :Sport Auto) on a 7:45 time lap !!

go and google MTM Bimoto TT. go learn something!
I know about the Bimoto already thanks and if that is your basis for the TT being a good track car then you're sadly mistaken.

ROFL, you cannot possibly say that an TT is quicker around track than an Audi A4 S4 or Boxster, if you were then the drivers of those cars were obviously not driving them properly

??? the first Murcielago wasn't on the wet the put some wet pad, and the zonda did it in the same type of track.
the zonda needs to be retest with the new stig.

why TG level the Gallardo not in the wet. i saw clearly that it was on the wet and it still did it in 1.25, if what Jeremy said is true take 4sec in the dry, thats a 1.21.

I think the Gallardo may have beaten everything in the dry... but that's because the Gallardo is SICK..

Just reminded me of the fact that we never saw a McLaren F1 on the track to set a laptime.
From what I recall at least one owner wrote to TG that he was willing to lend his Macca to smash the laprecord in Serie 2. That offer was rejected by TG.
I still wonder why
