And what about that Peugeot 306R4, is it a rallycross car ?? I had never heard about it....

There was also a Ferrari 246GT in my pictures, one of my favourite ferrari's, there were also several 360's, but since I dont actually like the 360, I didnt take any photos of it

and the 306R4 is used in rallying, it has 2 seats, a driver & co-driver, its used in events in the UK, I have a video somewhere of it on stage, its nearly impossible to get information about, which is why I was so happy when I saw it, I wanted to talk to the driver, but he wasnt around, all I know is rumours that the mid engine (a Cosworth powerplant i believe) produces about 400bhp. The car is totally custom made, with no affiliation with Peugeot in any way.

and Dingo... you should see my motorshow pictures, about 500 pictures from each show i go to, there is just over 200 from this show, plus lots of other cars i didnt take pics of

The Gulf Porsche is a 917, from the legendary Ferrari Porsche Le mans battles. Porsche won the 24h of Le Mans a couple of times in the early seventies with 917's.

The Mercedes 300SLR is probably the one that won the Mille Miglia in 1955 with Stirling Moss at the wheel.

but thats after I try to make the trip out to Spa 24hr this year

shame I cant do the DSC this year

and AlfaGTV, there were lots of cars that were driven by Stirling Moss there, I think now you mention it, I remember reading his name on the info board, so you are probably right!

I remember watching Goodwood on a show on the telly about 6 or so years ago, that was broadcast at 2am in the morning because it was still considered a "fringe" event.

Now it seems that besides us real fanatics, it is now "fashionable" to attend Goodwood as a social event and as such folks are held at a little more arms lenght.

Is this really the case? That the "Pebble Beach" style crowd are diluting the hardcore nature of Goodwood?

Either way great to attend I am sure. Who knows if between all the NASCAR Speed TV will even show us more than just a brief news item on Goodwood.

You hit the nail on the head mate, i went 3 years ago and it was already becoming more and more crowded with people who looked more interested in getting pissed than looking at the cars.
My dads been each year since and said it gets worse each year. Still some very nice cars there though.
