2005 G35 or 2002 M3

The car will be a daily driver, but with some kick. Was leaning more towards an M3 cause of the evosport supercharger kit.

G35 i like, but my friend has one and it is sick, nismo head, vortex supercharger ..... i think it will be in sport compact car soon, anyway after that it kinda sucks to have the same car, especially since i am not really planning on spending 50k in upgrades, but 20-35k is more my budget.

o, i know they are different cars, but similiar, for me its the difference between:
used vs new
i am 29, so a g35 is more college, plus i love the m3 bodykits that are out

Infiniti G35 Sedan

Other changes include the addition of larger brake rotors and a revised Sport-Tuned Suspension Package (which now includes 18-inch wheels and tires and Viscous Limited-Slip Differential) and the addition of mp3 playback capability to the already standard 6-disc CD changer, manual tilt/telescoping steering wheel (with available power function) and available Infiniti Intelligent Key system.

Enhancements to the 2005 G35 Sedan include:

· Revised exterior, designed to convey sporty character and match vehicle’s dynamic performance
· New hood, trunk, front and rear bumpers, side sills

The G35 Coupe 6MT model with 6-speed manual transmission receives 18 additional horsepower, increasing power output to 298.

The 2005 G35 coupe’s interior has also been refined with a new instrument panel and console area and use of new materials and textures, including the addition of real aluminum trim on the center console, door grips and dash, and mp3 playback capability added to the standard 6-disc CD changer. Yeah, hopefully they are not playing with numbers there. The only way I think the Z can survive is they add a turbo or supercharger to it....

here are 2 pics of the new G35, not a big change but it has side sills and some new rims and i think it is also supposed to have redesigned tailights but i cant find any pics of the rear of the car. interior got a refresh too i think.

If you are in for a daily driver where your job requires balla status, stick to the m3. If not go for what you think will feel better. The only reason I see people leasing cars is to change cars to keep their "styel" up to date ie. salesman, real estate agents, etc.



I would personally go with whatever I felt better with as a driver. As far as selling it so soon, I would reccommend leasing it.

M3...straight six sounds better...personally i don't like the sould of the VQ as the rev's go up. plus you sound richer when you say i have an m3 (don't include the year) than a g35

I think the Infiniti is a very, very good car, but i would never choose it over an M3

Since I have an Infiniti G35, and know bout the 05 models due to some research....

It will come with 295HP not 300. Currently, it has 280 but will receive 15 extra on the "sports coupe" version. Sedans wont get it. If you can get a new M3 there is no discussion, go for m3... But if you compare a used M3 vs the new G35... I did and would still go for G35.

As I said before.... I rather marry a good looking virgin than paris hilton.

In other words, if you plan to keep this car for a while... IMO you should get a New one... the joy of being 1st owner cannot be surpassed by getting a used M3.

how can you deny that pissed off buzz the M3 gets when it hits the upper registers? and i highly doubt the G35 has built in shift lights...and 333HP? why is this even a debate?

besides, i think the wheels on the G35 make it look a little ricey. i swear i've seen similar patterns on Hondas.

and the Z is supposed to be turbocharged soon. can't remember if it is supposed to be '05 or '06

No doubt the M3 is a more expensive car in a different league, but simply becoz it is a second hand makes it not as desirable. Imagine if you were an M3 owner, will u be doing some enthuisat driving from time to time? Because of this, even if it has a perfect record cannot prevent you from getting a lemon. Btw, why would you want to care about the shift lights?

I seriously don't recall any honda with a similar rim pattern, if so, please feel free to lighten me up. Maybe the rims resembles some of the aftermarket style makes you think it is ricey, seriously don't know. But one thing for sure, there is no definitive info about the turbo on the Z, everything is just rumours.


Demon: Yeah, I just round off the numbers, but just for the record, it is 298 But the cost for higher HP and redline is that it loses 10ft.lb of torque.

M3. buy it new not used, just spend less on upgrades. dont get to wild, 333bhp is enuf for almost neone. be very careful what you do with upgrades, u dont want to ruin the perfect balance of power handling and luxury the M3 possesses. the g35 is a very cool car, i like it but damn man it aint no M3 and thats all there is to say. this should be a no brainer, which leads me to believe your 'tuning' aspirations are false. also if ur friend has a car good enuf to put in sports compact, we would very much like to see some pics plz!
