That was epic, too bad it ended that way, but you could feel that something big was about to happen.

Technically the Corvette crosses the line, so does he get 2nd place?

the vette driver is lunatic and the best part was when he took over the ford GT.

Hahaha. There's a historical context to this. Jörg Bergmeister.

The exact same thing happened against him two years ago. It's kinda ass like to do something like that against someone after suffering through it himself, but I guess he really wanted that win.

As for the Corvette drivers, it was the last race of the season and they had to make a statement. They just started the GT2 program. They weren't going to let established teams walk all over them. (even if they've been dominating GT1 category by default for years) What better way than to take on the championship winner on the last leg?

Yes. Also, this is an endurance race, so his position would be actually determined by how many laps he had completed even if he didn't cross the line.

Running someone all the way to the wall does not constitute keeping one's cool. The 'vette was quicker at the end of the race as evidenced by how it pulled away after the illegal pit exit pass. Jorg was running an aggressive blocking line the entire time. Multiple times, Magnusson tried to cleanly pass on the outside of first turn, but despite having his line taken away fair and square, Jorg ran Magnusson off into the dirt. Had Magnusson really driven like a lunatic, he'd have held his ground in that position and done some serious paint trading to secure his position before the next corner. Jorg earned the tap he got in the last corner.

Lastly, had Jan driven like a lunatic, he'd have simply recreated the Panoz-Porsche incident from Sebring . . . another time where a Porsche tried to run a competitor into the wall (granted it wasn't as intentional in this case, just poor judgement.)
