Note that the GT2 was the only car tested, with a faster lap time. Furthermore, the British
car magazine recently ran the GTR against the new GT3 (7:51 vs. 7:49) on the Nurburgring.
Also, I just received my June edition of the German
sport auto , where they did their 'Supertest' on the GTR. It did a 7:38 with the Dunlop SP Sport 600 DSST tires, vs. the new GT3, which did a 7:40. However, Horst did a 7:33 when they tested the GT2 last year.
What does all this say? I don't believe the 7:26 time, unless Suzuki is better than Schumacher (was), or if there is some special 'NS' mode that Nissan won't tell anyone else about. Considering all the warranty back pedalling, this scenario wouldn't surprise me. Transparent, they are not!
