I used to have a good friend that did that to his roomie once...
did I mention the prankster got pranked by his roomie with brake hose clipping?
yeah, he is not around anymor, neither is his mate, he spends his days in State prison now, I learned to never do pranks unless you truly know the person, there are some seriously fucked up vengefull arseholes out there

what ever happened to harmless pranks? My old roommates and I used to pull pranks on each other NON-STOP. We are still great friends.
This "prank" was designed in frustration, and hate. I don't see the humor.
