wow, had he never done donuts before??? That was so amazingly amatuer. Actually amatuer gives a little too much credit. The less formal "noobish" describes it better.

That's funny. ^Yeah, you'd expect better from a pro driver in F1 not to wreck his car doing some donuts , or run into a safety car with such a clear berth on one side of the track.

I think his real mistake with that one is that he was coming in too fast. Did he not see the Orange Arrows car and the medical car, or the Ferrari swerving out of the way, or even the red flag?

i was just commenting on the donut one. I can kind of see how he hit the safety car. He let his guard down, things happened fast, and then he didn't react too too well.

The flag man had put away his flags and only pulled the red flag out after th ecar entered the turn - he should have been waving the flags the whole time the safety car was there.
As for the doughnut, shit happenes -he came out of the smoke at the wrong angle -

So the attribute of it being a mistake makes it not his fault? Try telling that to an insurance company paying for a damaged car. Intent is not reality I'm afraid. There are plenty of people who almost succeed at accomplishing various things . . .
