it's nothing but transmission whine and some other tone . . . you sure wouldn't hear it if your own car made any good noises of its own.

Sure, but I don't think I can stand being in a car that whirrs at 12,000rpm in that pitch for more than 30 seconds. And it's only got one gear... so you'll be getting that optional sound system to cover that whine.

So let me get this straight - this $100,000 piece of junk has to stay home all night charging to be used the next day?
Yet a used $7000 modded Miata can be driven 250 miles through the backroads like a crazy mofo and refilled at any of 1,000's of rural gas stations?
Not to mention going out at any time of the day or night, getting in the car and driving off... and not being tied to your home outlet... and how come no-one considers the polution to get the power to your house, or the terrible pollution footprint of the production of the...
ah forget it 
These electric junkers will hopefully just go away
