Default July 12 Lambo Gallardo Superleggera launch party in Houston

Pics:

SL

Other Lambos

Other cars

Somehow, I wasn't very impressed with the SL. It looks ordinary - very much like a regular G with some CF bits thrown on it. The Audi interior puts me off (true of all modern Lambos I suppose). The seats look nice and inviting. The wing looks like an afterthought - it should at least be a bit wider to look right.

Anyway my money is still on the Stradale. A more evocative car.

The Countach LP 5000 looked fabulous as did the Shelby GT 350 and the 512 Boxer. There was also what looked like a Cobra Daytona coupe under a cover. Being a nice gentleman that I am - I didn't lift the cover to confirm my thoughts.

The LP640's exhaust looks like it can ingest a small dog pretty easily

The MB SLR was a used car - a 2005 spec car now selling for $270K - compare that to the original MSRP of $450K. Talk about depreciation.

Wow! Cool event, and very nice pics! 8)

Hmm surprising that the Superleggera is a bit disappointing in person, oh well...some cars really shine in person and others don't.

The GT350 is very cool! The last time I was there they had a Daytona Coupe on the showroom, I bet its the same one that was under the cover... Great post! 8)
