Better yet a FWD corvette. It should have a similar performance as an Accord given the weight of the corvette body is similar.

I hate to be synical here but that seems like such a waste to me. yes the 1.6in the EK wasn't anything spectacular but you could drop in a B series GSR motor and boost it and get similar performance alot cheaper.

There are definitely better cars out there to drop the LS motor, RX-7 is a good example <flame proof coat on>.

It's just that that guy is willing to play with things alittle, be creative that's what make it interesting that's all. There are many Civic with GSR/TypeR motor setup, but I bet there's only a hands full (if not the only one) is doing that.

yes the 1.6in the EK wasn't anything spectacular but you could drop in a B series GSR motor and boost it and get similar performance alot cheaper.

here in belgium,a b16a2 is a very good engine so when i read your comments on the b series being not so spectacular,it is sad from someone who works for acura.

Not likely, especially since this Civic will be RWD after the conversion.

I said the 1.6 isn't spectacular (eventhough I know a few people running single digit times with them) I love the B series motors evne the non-Vtec ones. And I prefer the B18 over the B16 anyday. I'm thinking of buying a JDM Type-R B18 engine off a guy at work just because he needs to unload it.

Oh and in terms of acceleration numbers the B18 is a much smarter choice and has the potential to out perform the LS1 in a civic hatch

Me, too, that would be a lot of fun to create new cars like that. Seeing that Vette engine inside of a hatchback made me smile, then I smiled twice as much seeing him put the whole tranny in there. Must be one crazy ride.

i agree with you on the b18 but here in belgium,there aren't so much b18 so we have to stick with b16.It is much smarter to choose a b16 here where i live because you can find one easily ,on the other hand,b18 is rare but if you find one il will cost you a lot of cash.
